Of the city’s many secret and hidden places this one may be the most secret of them all. Or at least of the places that I have been. Accessing this underground space is no simple task. It’s sort of an urbex turducken, a location inside of a location, inside of a location. I’ve probably said too much already. Anyways, I love this place. It’s without a doubt a favorite of mine. Maybe the favorite. In a city with very limited underground, and as someone who is infatuated with tunnels, this is a treasure.
One of the biggest highlights of this location is the graffiti. I don’t believe there is any modern graffiti, just old graffiti left by the builders, and a handful of maintenance workers who have visited over the years. Where else in Cleveland can you find ninety year old graffiti?
